The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is a lengthy title for a film that received very little, if any, advertising by Warner Bros. As a result, it will be fighting a major uphill battle to make back it's already low $15 million budget and even stay in theaters longer than a week. Despite calls from many animation enthusiasts asking WB to stop repeatedly cancelling things, the executives seem intent on taking as many tax write-downs as possible, giving top priority to shrinking their ~$40 billion debt mountain. The situation must be dire if they're going out of their way to cut corners, continue lay offs, vault unreleased projects, and strip their own streaming platform of content.

One really has to wonder how a brand could be sitting on such a wealth of valuable, recognizable IPs, yet getting it to have any kind of good faith in what it owns and properly utilize those properties is like slowly pulling teeth with a string tied to the world's slowest moving door. Anyway, check out our review of the movie.
